Wolf Games

Went into this book with the gnawing question: Who is Maggie? And not until I was twenty percent in did I *finally* figure it out.

Maggie is the sister of Missy.
Missy (Omega) is the mate of Tad.
Tad (Omega) is the brother of Robyn.
Robyn (Alpha)is the mate of Keil.
Keil (Alpha)is the brother of TJ.
And TJ is the focus of the next book.-- which I am so psyched about. That guy is too funny.

Another story of a guy who finds his mate only for her to want nothing to do with him. *sigh*

Well, sort of. But thankfully, this one has a twist. Maggie, sister to the Granite Lakes wolves' Omega female, has, as she explains it, a chemical imbalance that drives her to panic attacks whenever her wolf surfaces.

Ah, sweet chemical imbalances.

Three years I suffered from panic attacks before the great American doctors figured out which one I was lacking. Although mine and Maggie's attacks aren't all that similar. She faints. Me? My brain tells my body to shut down to preserve oxygen and soon all my limbs are tingling, clamped up, and unmovable. My own personal self destruct button.

Anyway-- back to big guy Erik... who I do not remember whatsoever although I know he existed before this. I liked him. I still prefer Keil. And I am stoked to hear TJ's tale.

Erik had too much control for me. Especially when Maggie kissed the random Russian. Erik checked his blood pressure only for everything to be a-okay. There was never any desperation. He never faced devastation. Which, as you know by now, are two necessary components of a guy in my book.

...his cock rose like new bread in an oven.

That was a 'really now?' moment. LoL

1. In MIND GAMES, hypochondriac heroine Justine Jones can’t figure out why tortured mastermind Sterling Packard never sets foot outside the Mongolian Delites restaurant. What if you were somehow trapped in a restaurant, what sort of restaurant would you prefer?

2. What if you won the fancy $100 dinner to a restaurant of your choice, and you could dine with any character from any book, movie, or history. Who would you choose?

3. Choose three characters to dine with for a lively dinner party (you can define lively however you want).

I'm better. They're not as frequent. Though my last, a couple weeks ago, scared the devil out of Matt.

I can never give these any more than 3 stars on Goodreads. I like them, but the characters aren't... complex enough. Like 2-dimensional or something. There's a way to say it, I just don't know what it is at the moment.
