Being a little wicked isn’t all bad…

Every woman has a sexy demon inside her just waiting to get out, but for Eden Riley it’s a little different. Her inner demon is named Darrak, and he’s been inhabiting bodies for the past 300 years. In the daytime, thanks to her special psychic energy, he’s able to take physical shape—a shape she wouldn’t mind getting her hands on, if it wasn’t a threat to her immortal soul…

Because of her possession, Eden now has uncontrollable black magic at her fingertips, and she and Darrak are trying to end the curse that binds them before the situation gets any worse. To do it, they’ll have to get tangled up with some unsavory characters from the underworld. When sparks and spells fly, they could get the distance they need…or each have their own private hell to pay.

He's baaaaaack! The sexy demon made from the fire's of hell before Lucifer turned his back on him. And he's just as entertaining as ever.

In the sequel to The Demon In Me, Something Wicked picks up right where we left off as Eden tries to find a way to release Darrak from his imprisonment of possessing her without killing either of them. Of course, it has to be complicated. They only have a year or Darrak's feeding of her energy will kill her, and they can't have sex because the act pours black magic into his partner, thus darkening her soul.

Darrak is way beyond cursed.

Golden-boy is back as well and Ben is more annoying than ever. A lesson to all ladies to be careful who you crush on. In this installment, Eden does come to discover her father was an angel and Darrak meets up with his old best friend, Theo, who once had designs on conquering Hell and taking Darrak along as his right hand man. We also come to find how Darrak came to be in the position of being summoned by a witch in the first place which started this whole mess.

There were some huge developments in this one though. We've got not just one but two shifters in the gang now and Ben has a distraction! Looks like that hasty decision to join up with the Malleus is going to come back and bite him on the ass. Gotta love it.

I love how Rowen actually makes the story move forward. She's not just stringing us along. The tale progresses even though it is called Living In Eden so obviously, Darrak has to stay living in Eden, but their relationship manages to evolve, despite the lack of trust, the lies, and omission of much needed information. Rowen is gold. This series is rocking but I am oh so upset that the third book isn't due out till late next year. *sad face* And am I the only one that hates those sneak peaks at the end of books for the next story? Cuz you know you have to read it, but it means absolutely nothing because it ends before it ever begins. *sigh* 5 out of 5 stars.
