About the blogger

I am a wife and mother, living in Georgia, USA. Whether it's a rousing love story or the calculated suspense of a narcissistic killer, I love books that get their claws into a reader-with characters that come to live beneath your skin. Warriors. Shape-shifters. Demons. Soldiers. Gods of every religion. The pure, and the dark.

About the blog

It all began on my Myspace page what feels like ages ago as a point of reference, a way to keep track of what I'd read and to jog my memory for when a new book of the same series was released. On March 22, 2010, it moved to blogger and was labeled Private. By late summer, I opened it to public view.

When I started to contemplate a name for this page I wanted something of meaning, but not in an obvious way. I opened up the Highlight section of my Kindle and began to peruse the many underlinings.

I tend to be highly emotional when it comes to characters of a well written book, and even when it's not so well written. I'll cry. I'll worry. I'll go out of my ever loving mind over these people, or so called characters. So when my eyes caught on a quote from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Fantasy Lover, I thought it a perfect fit for what I was seeking. In the Kindle edition of this book, at Location 2571, you will find the source of my inspiration when the heroine's book collection was found torn apart and utterly destroyed. A foolish police officer made a move to comment when Julian, her love interest, interrupted with this:

"They're not just books to her. Don't mock her pain."
