Victoria meets a handsome stranger at a relative’s wedding. When he asks her out for a drink after, she invites him to her place. After a steamy encounter, they discover they have more than their profession and their love of cats in common. Their paths have crossed before. But will that connection end what they’ve just begun?
Two things I didn't care for about this story. 1) Jake was way too forward and 2) Why do these guys always walk around with a condom in their pocket?
The good news is, everything else I loved.
Victoria and Jake capture one another's attention across the reception hall and end up back at her place. After some quick, yet surprisingly hot, couch sex it comes out that there just might be a familial link between the two. Plus, there's a tad bit of history there. Quick and fulfilling, this is a prime example of what the standard should be for these short stories from Elora's Cave. 4 out of 5 stars.
