Having come to the realization that he's fallen in love with his boyfriend, Ollie, Jeff believes it's all too much too fast, and begins to cancel dates and screw things up in hopes that Ollie will go ahead and leave him now instead of later.
He playacts drunk and arrives late for their dinner. They unknowingly both agree this will be their last night and Ollie decides it's going to end his way. Whips, binds, and all. And Jeff gives it to him. Finding, quite surprisingly, that he enjoys the rougher side of sex.
It's a story about the first 'I love you' and is rather well written. The sex is far from hot and gets to the point much too quickly but, all things considered, it isn't such a bad, short read. Being unfamiliar with its predecessor, I can only rate this from a standalone perspective while suspecting that fans would find far more enjoyment in the bite than I have. 2 out of 5 stars.
