Andy is the new nurse and has to work on Christmas Day. She's part of a skeleton crew taking care of one little boy with end-stage Muscular Dystrophy. As she reads to him, Jeff, a young intern, visits. Through their love of this little boy, Andy and Jeff discover a deep connection and love for each other.

I believe every male, when contemplating a potential partner, should have the question 'Is this someone I could marry?' on mind before getting involved with any female, so I was happy to find Jeff, the leading man of this story, of a similar mind. Of course, one doesn't have to actually do the deed weeks later as he and Andy did but the whole hit it and ditch it philosophy has never been appealing to me.

The story itself is of a nurse who opens her heart to a young boy and ultimately finds true love with a similarly compassionate doctor. There is a slight religious aspect, a few warm kisses, and a sentimental message for all of those who give of themselves. Although it reads like an accounting of a real experience, I hope it's not. I'd hate to think anyone gets married that quickly. 3 out of 5 stars.
