What She Wants
Kindle Edition
Published July 14th 2010 by Samhain Publishing, Ltd.
Summer Chase has already loved and lost once and she has no intention of going through that pain again. But when a hunky Camaro-driving P.I. shows up at her B & B looking for a room for the week, she sees something more than a hard-bodied guest. For the first time since her husband-s death, Summer's sexual interest is awakening, and she's not about to hit the snooze button!
Gage Knight is a P.I. in desperate need of a vacation. His impromptu trip to Cape May, New Jersey, seems just what he needs to relax and unwind. But when he knocks on the door of Chase-s Bed & Breakfast and comes face to face with sexy owner, Summer Chase, relaxing drops to the bottom of his to-do list. Now all he wants is a tasty Summer treat, and he plans to take his time, savoring the curvaceous beauty one inch at a time. Question is-can she watch Gage drive off into the sunset when the week comes to an end?
Warning: This story contains a hard-as-nails, ornery, demanding, tattooed PI eager to please, a widow ready to get back to the business of living and loving, and the kind of hot summer sex that you just might want to bookmark for later.
This story didn't sit well with me and I'm forced to play the personal preferences card because as good a writer as Anne Rainey is, her characters do nothing for me. And yet, that doesn't keep me from coming back. Earlier this week, A Little Bit Naughty was released and I still plan on purchasing a copy.
Two years ago, Summer's husband died in a car crash and since then she's yet to feel anything sexual towards another man. Until Gage Knight, son of her mother's long time friend, rents a room in her B&B.
The chemistry between Summer and Gage stirs at first sight and Gage's mind goes instantly into the gutter. A few of his flexed muscles and soon Summer's goes right behind him. If you're looking for a story that dives right in about two characters looking to live through sex and ultimately discovering their relationship could be more, then this is it. 3 out of 5 stars. It gets better near the end.

Great review. I've only read one book by Ms Rainey.
Thank you! A Little Bit Naughty is one of her better reads.
I don't believe I've read Anne Rainey before. I have a few authors that I keep going back to as well even when their books aren't always a 5 star read. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one like that, and that you continue to support Anne.
Rainey was a new discovery for me about a week ago when I found her new one 'A Little Bit Naughty' listed on the Coming Soon page at Samhain.
There have been very few authors that I've given up on. But it does happen.
Thanks, Tasha.
