Werewolf Jade Thorne needs a man-a young, virile man to give her love and pleasure. As a rare female alpha, she must keep her pack safe by pledging herself in marriage to an aging leader from a rival pack. Until then, she wants to experience the raging passion of a wolf in his prime. She even has an ideal lover at hand: her Second, Christian Tallant. But Christian is a wolf who will demand to dominate her body, mind and soul. Now Jade must decide if she can afford to submit to his desire-and if one night with the wolf will really be enough.
Keeping with my latest Friends-To-Lovers reading theme, I was psyched when Redd sent me this via Amazon. It had been on my wish list for quite a while so I just had to dive right in.
Exiled from his pack, a broken and bloodied Christian was taken in by the Thorne pack by the aging alpha, Marius. Once healed, Christian's strength and intelligence won him the place as second-in-command.
Now, Marius is dead and his young mate Jade must marry again to ensure the safety of the pack. Christian's wolf has always been drawn to his alpha female, but he considers himself too unworthy to claim her.
Jade was mated to Marius when she sixteen. He was old then, even by the standards of shifter wolves. Now, she intends to marry again. And it will be another older wolf, too mature to give her any of the passion she sees being shared between the younger pairs in her pack. She decides on the eve of the ceremony to take one night for herself and experience the pleasure of a virile male's body. And she asks Christian to choose for her.
Wicked hot and cheesy as hell! Seriously, Christian is a bit too romantic to be an alpha male... but I love that kind of stuff. A broken spirit, daddy issues, and a destined mating are all yummy components to a delectable read for this chick. 5 out of 5 stars.

Seriously? I mean. Seriously? lol.
Daddy issues.. umm that could be taken ummm in different ways... *clearsthroat* still eww??
Well, I'm glad it was a fabu read, B. :)
Daddy issues make for some ridiculous drama, and that's one of the few psychological problems I *don't* have so it's all good.
And just to clarify- the issues are Christian's... not Jade's- and that's a spoiler.
*snickers* Spoiler. Like I'm going to read it.. 'specially with *him* having the daddy issues. O.o
